Rocky Mountain Slayer SXC 90 - New Gear

June 6, 2008

Canadian-based Rocky Mountain Bicycles has been building near-custom bikes for years. They have grown considerably, but they aren't trying to compete with Trek or Specialized. They want to maintain their tight design and manufacturing standards, so Rocky still builds all their bikes in their Vancouver headquarters. I owned the first-generation Rocky Mountain Slayer (Edge, actually) and loved it. I've also ridden several other Rocky Mountain bikes over the years. Their attention to quality and detail is unsurpassed. I love how they are all stamped "Built in Canada", while most other manufacturers say "Designed in USA" or "Assembled in Canada." These things are designed, manufactured and built in their Vancouver factory. Well, Back to the new Rocky Mountain Slayer SXC 90. With 152mm of rear wheel travel 9 I've ridden several Rocky Mountain bikes and each one has been stellar. http://bikes.com/main+en+01_102+bikes.html?BIKE=167&name=Slayer%20SXC%2090#2
